The national campaign to combat COVID-19 Iraq-2020
After the great positive results achieved by the national campaign against COVID-19 in Baghdad and the southern provinces (Dhi Qar, Maysan, Wasit, Basra) and in Kurdistan Region (Sulaymaniyah province) and the provinces (Diyala, Salah al-Din and Anbar) with the support of World Health Organization and in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Environment And the Ministry of Interior – Community Police, Ministry of Youth and Sports – the National Center for Volunteering and with Implementation of the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development, and under the slogan of Your Health is a Trust, the national campaign against COVID-19 in Iraq was launched in the central furat’s provinces (Najaf, Babil, and Holy Karbala) from the date of 26 – 9-2020 until 10-10-2020 and in cooperation with the authorities and the Holy Hussaini shrine. The campaign will target areas in the aforementioned provinces, which are considered among the areas that have recorded a high number of virus infections, according to the statistics of the Ministry of Health and Environment, where the campaign is expected to target more than 5 million citizens Through mobile teams and awareness messages through leaflets distributed to citizens and voice messages over loudspeakers in the organization’s mobile medical clinics and Spreading audio and televised messages through radio and satellite channels, and the campaign will coincide with the fortieth visit to the commemoration of the martyrdom of Imam Hussein, peace be upon him, and the campaign will focus on four main goals to prevent the emerging corona virus, which are (wearing a mask, washing hands with soap and water or any alcohol sanitizer, social distancing and finally refuting Rumors, spreading the spirit of hope and extracting information on the pandemic from the competent official health authorities in Iraq. )
