Project “Return with Hope” in Iraq
▪ Baghdad – In a significant step to promote community reconciliation and reintegrate Iraqi returnees from the Al-Hol camp in Syria, the “Return with Hope” project was officially launched in partnership with the Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund, with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development.
▪ This ambitious project aims to provide essential support to over 9,000 returning Iraqis through a wide range of services, including mental health support, psychological assistance, case management, and educational programs specifically designed to meet their needs and help reintegrate returning families into the community in Salah al-Din.
▪ The project launch contract was signed in Salah al-Din province, where it will be implemented by the Untied Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development over a period of 16 months. The signing ceremony was attended electronically by Dr. Ahmed Al-Heeti President of the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development, along with several department heads.
