The Iraqi Sacrifice Project
Under the patronage of the Governor of the Central Bank of Iraq, Dr. Ali Mohsen Al-Alaq, with the support of the Islamic Development Bank in Iraq, and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Iraq and the National Operations Center – Office of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture , the Ministry of Planning, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defense, and the offices of Governors of the targeted governorates (Baghdad, Nineveh, Salah al-Din, Diwaniyah, Dhi Qar, Al- Muthanna, Maysan). The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development distributed sacrificial meat of the Iraqi pilgrims who performed their rituals in Mecca for the Hajj season of 1444 AH as part of the Iraq Sacrifice Project to the families of widows, orphans, people with limited income, and beneficiaries of the social protection network in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs in the governorates of Baghdad, Anbar, Nineveh, Diyala, Diwaniyah, Kirkuk, Salah al-Din, Dhi Qar, Maysan, and Al-Muthanna where each family gets a share, with each share consisting of three kilograms of meat.
