Empowering and Caring Widows

Within the “Kuwait is by your side” campaign, with the support of the International Islamic Charitable Organization in Kuwait, and in cooperation with the Ministry of Immigration and Displacement and the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development implemented a project to empower widowed women in Anbar and Nineveh governorates, with the participation of 300 widowed women for a period of 20 days. The project included sewing, pastry making and hairdressing workshops, and they were given project equipment after completing the training to start their own projects to support their families.”
