As part of its efforts to strengthen national partnerships and support the health sector, Dr. Ahmed Musharraf Al-Hiti, President of the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS), met with Mr. Ali Abdul Ridha Hassan Alwan, Chairman and President of the Iraqi Trade Bank (TBI), to discuss cooperation and potential support for the “Their Heartbeats, Our Hope” Project, the National Campaign to Reduce Newborn and Premature Infant Mortality.
The meeting highlighted the project’s humanitarian and health objectives, particularly its efforts to equip hospitals and healthcare institutions across Iraq with 1,000 neonatal incubators and specialized medical equipment, helping strengthen neonatal intensive care services and improve care for newborn and premature infants.
The two sides also discussed opportunities for cooperation within the framework of corporate social responsibility and national partnerships, emphasizing the important role of banking and private-sector institutions in supporting sustainable health initiatives.
The meeting reflects UIMS’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with national institutions and mobilizing collective efforts to protect children’s lives and invest in the health and future of Iraq.
