Position: Fundraising Officer

Duty Station: Baghdad – Al-Mansour

Basic Requirements:

• The applicant must be a recent graduate, preferably from the American University of Iraq or another accredited university.
• Strong skills in preparing presentations and designing project-related materials.
• Interest and initial experience in resource development, proposal writing, and engaging partners and donors.
• Excellent communication skills and a very good command of the English language (at minimum).
• Ability to work within a team and handle work pressure.
• Proficiency in computer programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and social media platforms.
• Basic knowledge of humanitarian and development projects and understanding donor requirements.
• Good skills in drafting formal fundraising letters and professional email communication.
• Ability to conduct research on funding opportunities and follow international grant and donor platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to the development of professional project and grant presentations.
• Support the Resource Development Department in preparing and drafting project proposals and communicating with donors.
• Collect and analyze information on available local and international funding opportunities, prepare periodic reports, and follow up on grant deadlines.
• Draft official correspondence to donors and prepare organization profiles when needed.
• Coordinate with the Programs Department to obtain the technical data and information required for proposal development.
