The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS) announced the completion of “Pride of Hope 1” campaign, which was launched to provide wheelchairs for humanitarian cases and persons with disabilities, thanks to the generous contributions of donors through the Super (Qi) donation platform.

The campaign contributed to providing two electric wheelchairs, the first in Basra and the second in Samarra, as part of the “Pride of Hope” initiatives. This support enhances the beneficiaries’ mobility, contributes to improving their quality of life, and promotes their independence and social inclusion.

The total amount raised through the campaign reached *IQD 1,575,000, with a total of **315 donors, including *162 male donors and 153 female donors.

UIMS confirms that this achievement reflects the real impact of electronic donations when they are transformed into tangible support that reaches those in need. The Society highlights that a wheelchair is not merely a means of mobility, but rather an opportunity to restore hope, dignity, self-reliance, and independence.

The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development extends its sincere thanks and appreciation to all donors who contributed to the success of “Pride of Hope 1” campaign, as well as to the Super (Qi) donation platform for its role in enabling the community to support humanitarian cases through safe and reliable means.

UIMS reaffirms its commitment to continuing the implementation of health and humanitarian initiatives targeting the most vulnerable groups and strengthening the values of solidarity and social cohesion within Iraqi society.

His Excellency Dr. Saman Hussein Barzinji, Minister of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government, received Dr. Ahmed Mushrif Al-Hiti, President of the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS), to discuss prospects for joint cooperation in implementing a number of leading health and humanitarian initiatives that contribute to enhancing the quality of health services provided to citizens in the Kurdistan Region.

The meeting included discussions on mechanisms to support and implement three of the Society’s most prominent projects: *“Their Pulse is Our Hope”, which aims to equip hospitals with incubators for premature and newborn infants; *“Pride of Hope”*, which is concerned with providing wheelchairs and assistive devices for persons with disabilities and humanitarian cases; and *“The White Hand”**, which aims to provide humanitarian and medical support to the most vulnerable groups.

Both sides emphasized the importance of unifying efforts between government institutions and civil society organizations to enhance the response to health and humanitarian needs and expand qualitative initiatives that contribute to improving services provided to citizens, particularly the most vulnerable groups.

The meeting also resulted in an agreement to proceed towards signing a joint cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development, establishing a strategic partnership for implementing these projects and expanding their scope in a manner consistent with health and humanitarian priorities while strengthening integration between governmental and community efforts.

The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development confirms that this step represents an important milestone in the journey of its national partnerships and reflects its commitment to continuing the implementation of sustainable health and humanitarian initiatives that contribute to supporting the health sector, improving quality of life, strengthening the values of solidarity, and serving people throughout Iraq

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacities of the Iraqi health sector and enhance medical services provided to citizens, the Unified Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS) continues to implement its humanitarian and developmental projects aimed at supporting healthcare institutions across various governorates.

In this framework, the Society has equipped Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in Al-Muthanna Governorate with an advanced Ultrasound device.
The Unified Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS) has officially concluded its “Eid Clothing” (Kiswat Al-Eid) campaign. The initiative was launched with the primary objective of bringing joy and happiness to the hearts of orphans and underprivileged families’ children, enabling them to welcome the blessed Eid Al-Adha with the joy and dignity that every childhood deserves.

The campaign witnessed remarkable community engagement, reflecting the deep-rooted spirit of solidarity and mutual support that characterizes Iraqi society. Generous donors actively backed the campaign’s goals through their contributions made via the “Tibara’a” (Donation) platform, integrated within the Qi Card application, which provided a secure, transparent, and reliable channel to ensure that aid reached its rightful beneficiaries.

Through the collective support of individuals across various segments of society, the campaign successfully raised 500,000 Iraqi Dinars (IQD) from 2026/05/20 to 2026/05/24 through 145 individual donations (69 men and 76 women) . This collective generosity enabled the Society to provide new Eid clothes for the targeted children, drawing smiles on their faces during this blessed occasion.

UIMS emphasized that the true impact of the campaign extended far beyond merely providing new garments; it profoundly enhanced the children’s feelings of joy, belonging, and hope, reaffirming that humanitarian work holds the power to make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and communities alike.

Furthermore, the Society commended the vital role played by the Qi Card “Tubourat” platform in ensuring the success of the campaign. By streamlining the donation process and expanding the initiative’s reach to a broader audience of supporters, the platform exemplified the vital importance of national partnerships in sustaining humanitarian initiatives and achieving lasting social impact.

Simultaneously, the digital and media platforms of the Unified Iraqi Medical Society played an active role in conveying the campaign’s message to the public. Through raising awareness, sharing human-interest content, and maintaining continuous media coverage, these platforms significantly elevated community engagement and motivated widespread participation.

Expression of Gratitude & Continuous Commitment:
The Unified Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development extends its deepest gratitude and appreciation to all the benevolent donors who contributed to the success of the Eid Clothing campaign, as well as to the Qi Card “Tubourat” platform for its unwavering support of humanitarian initiatives. The Society reaffirms its ongoing commitment to executing programs and projects that target the most vulnerable groups and strengthen the values of compassion and solidarity across society.

The Unified Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS) has officially concluded its humanitarian fundraising campaign, “Nabdhuhum Amaluna 1” (Their Pulse is Our Hope 1). Launched as part of its national initiative, the “National Campaign to Reduce Child Mortality Rates,” the project aimed to support premature and newborn babies while boosting the capabilities of Iraqi healthcare institutions to provide them with specialized medical care.

The campaign was launched in response to the growing need for enhanced support in Neonatal Intensive Care Units (NICUs) across Iraqi hospitals. It stems from the Society’s firm belief that providing specialized medical equipment and supplies is a true investment in saving lives and giving newborn children a better fighting chance at life.

Campaign Achievements and Impact
The campaign garnered remarkable community engagement, successfully raising 6,000,000 Iraqi Dinars from 2026/05/02 to 2026/06/04 through 1,772 individual donations from various Iraqi governorates. The donor base included 893 men and 879 women, reflecting a profound level of social awareness and humanitarian responsibility toward this critical health issue.

The Donation Platform: The Tibara’a (Donation) platform, integrated within the Qi Card application, served as the official umbrella for the campaign. It provided donors with a seamless, secure, and transparent way to contribute, helping bridge the gap between various segments of society and turning the desire to give into a tangible impact for vulnerable infants in urgent need of medical care.

Media & Digital Outreach: The official media and digital platforms of UIMS played a pivotal role in the campaign’s success. Through an integrated media strategy, they highlighted the humanitarian dimension of the project, shedding light on the challenges faced by premature and newborn infants, and emphasizing the critical need for incubators and specialized medical devices during their fragile first stages of life.

Next Steps
The Unified Iraqi Medical Society confirms that the initiative will sustain its momentum and continue under a new phase: “Nabdhuhum Amaluna 2” (Their Pulse is Our Hope 2). > To donate or for more inquiries, please contact the toll-free number: 6773
