The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief & development (UIMS) holds meetings with the Children’s Cancer Hospital Foundation – Egypt 57357 in Cairo
Within the visit schedule of the delegation of our organization (The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development), headed by Dr. Ahmed Mushrif Al-Heety, to Cairo, extensive meetings were held with the specialized staff of the Children’s Cancer Hospital Foundation – Egypt 57357 at the hospital’s headquarters in Cairo on 27-28/2/2022, Where the delegation of our organization was briefed on the mechanism of the hospital’s work through important meetings with the directors of the hospital departments, and all the details were seen through our tour inside the hospital to transfer the experience of Hospital 57357 to Iraq, to serve our children and neighboring countries with cancer, said the director of 57357 Hospital, Dr. Sherif Abu Al-Naga: Our experience in Hospital 57357 is pioneering in the region, and we look forward to cooperating with UIMS to transfer this experience to Iraq . For his part, Dr. Ahmed Al-Heety, head of the delegation, expressed his admiration for the hospital’s system and aspiration to transfer this wonderful experience to serve our children in Iraq and neighboring countries in cooperation with the Ministry of Iraqi Health, the World Health Organization WHO, UNICEF and the relevant international research institutions, and we seek to build bridges of cooperation between the hospital and our organization through the signing of a cooperation agreement between us, it is mentioned that between 2500 to 4000 children suffer by cancer in Iraq annually, according to the statistics of the Iraqi Ministry of Health.
