UIMS participates at the United Nations – New York
The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development (UIMS) is honored to take part in the High-Level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the 30th Anniversary of the World Programme of Action for Youth, to be held on September 25, 2025, at the UN Headquarters in New York. The event will bring together global leaders and prominent international organizations.
This participation is made possible through UIMS’s Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) since 2016, enabling the organization to represent the voice of Iraqi civil society in international forums.
UIMS will also use this occasion to share its experience in supporting and empowering Iraqi youth, emphasizing their role in advancing sustainable development and fostering community peace, while reaffirming Iraq’s active presence in international platforms.
