Job vacancy: Socail Worker – Tikrit

Job Title: Social Worker (Male/Female)
Location: Governorates (Tikrit)
Reports to: Project Manager
Contract Type: Full Time ( 5 days A week –   6 Hours )

Job Purpose:

The social worker plays a key role in implementing the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Project in Iraq, providing social and psychological support to individuals and families affected by mental health challenges, as well as analyzing and addressing the social factors influencing individual mental well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provide social and psychological support to patients and their families to help them effectively cope with mental health challenges.
2. Assess the social and psychological needs of patients and develop comprehensive individual action plans to address those needs.
3. Offer counseling and guidance to patients and their families on how to deal with social issues related to mental health.
4. Coordinate with team members to provide social support and services to patients and their families.
5. Accurately document information and prepare the necessary reports to provide regular updates on progress and outcomes to the project team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a related field such as Social Psychology or Mental Health.
• At least two years of practical experience in social work, particularly in the field of mental health.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to work effectively within a diverse and multicultural team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to unstable working environments and the social and psychological challenges faced by the community.
