Implementing a professional barbering course to support returnees within the National Referral Program in Baghdad.

Returning… A Decision

As part of the National Referral Program, under the supervision of the Ministry of Migration and Displacement, and with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), the Iraqi Medical Association for Relief and Development continues to implement vocational training programs to support returnees.

Recently, a training course in men’s and women’s hairdressing was conducted in Baghdad Governorate, with the participation of a select group of professional trainers. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to enhance economic and social empowerment and support the reintegration of returnees into their communities.

A few days after the course concluded, certificates of participation were awarded to the trainees in recognition of their efforts and to encourage them to confidently embark on their professional paths.
