⭕ Dr. Ahmed Al-Hiti Visits Joint Crisis Coordination Center in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq to Enhance Cooperation in Humanitarian Projects
▪ Erbil – As part of efforts to strengthen joint coordination and expand the scope of humanitarian work, Dr. Ahmed Al-Hiti, President of the Iraqi Unified Medical Society for Relief and Development, paid an official visit to Ms. Sarwa Rasul, Director General of the Joint Crisis Coordination Center in the Kurdistan Region – Ministry of Interior.
▪ During the meeting, several important topics were discussed that contribute to supporting the Society’s projects within the region’s governorates. The discussion highlighted the project to support returnees in the governorates of Erbil and Sulaimaniyah, funded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and the national campaign to reduce neonatal and premature infant mortality – “Their Pulse is Our Hope,” which aims to enhance healthcare and improve the survival chances of newborns. A number of related humanitarian projects implemented by the Society in various areas across the Kurdistan Region’s governorates were also discussed.
▪ Ms. Sarwa expressed the support of the regional government and the Ministry of Interior for all of the Society’s projects, praising its efforts to serve the target groups and enhance the humanitarian response in the region.
