The United Iraqi Medical Society for Relief and Development UIMS Participates in the World Humanitarian Summit in Istanbul May 2016.
Our organization was participated in the World Humanitarian Summit which was held in Istanbul for the period 23-24 of May 2016, as a response for an invitation submitted by United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, Our organization has attended the special sessions and all side events of the summit in addition to a visit for the World Summit Gallery to attend several meetings with the UN international organizations and also with the Arabian and regional NGOs besides visiting sponsor companies fair for the companies which were participated in the summit and holding several meetings as regards, Also the head of the organization attended the events of establishing the humanitarian Arab Council, which aims to defend humanity and promote the protection of civil societies and reflects the effective contribution of Arab civil society in identifying the difficult conditions and the provision of emergency humanitarian aid, and be the voice of the voiceless people in critical times. The participation of our organization in this summit will be of great benefit to be reflected on our humanitarian activity in Iraq.
